Les vibrations sont un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne ind\u00e9sirable en m\u00e9canique ; elles entra\u00eenent une perte d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie et cr\u00e9ent des sons et des bruits ind\u00e9sirables. Afin de limiter les mouvements ind\u00e9sirables, la machine-outil doit \u00eatre construite avec des \u00e9l\u00e9ments structurels rigides et lourds, renforc\u00e9s par du b\u00e9ton ou un autre mat\u00e9riau absorbant les vibrations, tel que la fonte. Les roulements et les bagues de la machine doivent avoir des tol\u00e9rances \u00e9troites et \u00eatre robustes.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pour maximiser la rigidit\u00e9, une barre d&rsquo;al\u00e9sage ou de tournage doit \u00eatre aussi courte que possible, mais suffisamment longue pour acc\u00e9der \u00e0 la profondeur du trou ou du composant. Le diam\u00e8tre de la barre d&rsquo;al\u00e9sage doit \u00eatre aussi grand que le permet le diam\u00e8tre du trou, tout en permettant une \u00e9vacuation efficace des copeaux. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Au fur et \u00e0 mesure que les copeaux se forment et se brisent, les forces de coupe augmentent et diminuent. Ces variations deviennent une source de vibrations qui, \u00e0 leur tour, peuvent cr\u00e9er une r\u00e9sonance sur la fr\u00e9quence propre du porte-outil ou de la machine, s&rsquo;auto-alimentant ainsi ou m\u00eame augmentant. D&rsquo;autres sources de vibrations sont les outils us\u00e9s ou les outils qui n&rsquo;effectuent pas une passe assez profonde. Ils provoquent une instabilit\u00e9 du processus ou une r\u00e9sonance \u00e0 la m\u00eame fr\u00e9quence naturelle que la broche ou l&rsquo;outil, ce qui g\u00e9n\u00e8re des vibrations ind\u00e9sirables.   <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Une longue barre d&rsquo;al\u00e9sage ou un grand porte-\u00e0-faux de la barre de tournage peut provoquer des vibrations sur la machine. L&rsquo;approche de base du contr\u00f4le des vibrations implique l&rsquo;utilisation d&rsquo;outils courts et rigides.
